Job Description
Mercy is seeking an Ada ICU professional to deliver exceptional critical care in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will monitor and stabilize critically ill patients, manage complex treatment plans, and collaborate closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary team. You will utilize advanced ICU technology, respond to emergencies, and uphold the highest standards of safety and compassion. Responsibilities Deliver high-acuity bedside care to critically ill patients in the ICUContinuously assess, monitor, and document patient status and vital signs Administer medications, infusions, and life-support therapies per protocols Collaborate with physicians and the care team on treatment plans and rounds Operate and troubleshoot ICU equipment, including ventilators and monitors Respond rapidly to emergencies and participate in codes Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and care plans Maintain accurate electronic medical records and follow ICU policies Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards Participate in ongoing education, competencies, and quality improvement Required Skills Critical care nursing ICU patient assessment Ventilator management Advanced cardiac life support Intravenous therapy and titration Hemodynamic monitoring Electronic medical records (EMR) Infection control practices Care coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration Emergency response and code management
