We are Hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to Train Staff for In Home Care and to Assess Clients The Nurse is accountable for maintaining all client care documentation of Medication and Nursing Services, including assessments, Medication and Nursing Service Plans, Medication Profiles, Medication Administration Records, and Supervisory Visits. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Nurse to bring their expertise to an agency that offers an array of services to vulnerable people. We are currently seeking a Nurse to spend 24 to 33.5 hours/week continuing to develop and improve our staff training and to manage medications, delegations, and supervise care for clients with higher medical needs. The Nurse reports to the Director of Services. Responsibilities Complies with OAR chapter 333, division 536 for in home care agencies AND the Oregon State Board of Nursing OAR chapter 851, division 047 Provides leadership and guidance to HDE Management and Direct Support Professionals Assist with new employee orientation and training and orientation to new client assignments and identifies staff development needs Assist with planning in-service and continuing education programs Assists in the development of policies and procedures Monitors the quality of care provided through random record review, consultation with in-home care clients, Caregivers, an/or home visits Gives consultation in the office, or in the client's home, as client care issues arise Reports client care problems, staffing problems, and/or other disciplinary problems to HDE Management Administers client documentation, including the initial evaluation, client assessments, service plans, medication profiles, medication administration records, supervisory visits documentation, and employee orientation Other responsibilities as directed by Senior HDE Management in response to individual office needs Minimum Requirements Must have a current Oregon State Board of Nursing, RN License Must be at least 18 years of age Able to read, write, and understand English Be able to drive to a client's residence, located in Portland-metro and surrounding counties Skills Needed Able to complete both administrative and practical tasks independently with minimal supervision Able to give and receive instructions and directions regarding client services Physically capable of performing job-related duties Able to demonstrate a mature, responsible character Has personality traits compatible with being in supervisory position with an In-Home Care Agency providing In-Home Care Services to clients in their homes and in the community Must have sufficient communication and language skills to perform duties and interact effectively with clients and other agency staff
