TBD) Position Overview The Float Registered Nurse applies the nursing process to deliver direct patient care within the Oregon State Board of Nursing scope of practice. This role requires clinical adaptability, prioritization skills, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to manage rapidly changing unit needs and patient crises effectively across medical-surgical and progressive care environments. Key Responsibilities Perform patient assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation across assigned units. Maintain complete and accurate patient care documentation within the electronic medical record. Respond effectively to clinical emergencies and patient crises. Educate patients and family members regarding care plans and discharge requirements. Demonstrate flexibility in accepting assignments across varied clinical areas while maintaining consistent, punctual attendance.
Submission & Candidate Requirements Hospital Experience:
Recent hospital experience within the past 5 years (Required) .
Specialty Experience:
Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg / PCU experience (Required) .
Float Capability:
Willingness to float between Medical Care, Post-Surgical, and Intermediate Care/PCU units (Required) . Certifications & Licensure BLS (AHA): Required (must be active or willing to obtain prior to start). ACLS (AHA): Required (must be active or willing to obtain prior to start).
State License:
Active Oregon (OR) RN license (or willing to obtain prior to start).

Pay:
$50.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 per week People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
