1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN requiring recent hospital experience and floating across multiple units. Details Float RN position requiring rotation to the medical care unit, post surgical unit, and Intermediate Care Unit/PCU 12-hour day shifts 13-week assignment Requirements Active OR RN license (or willingness to obtain) Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) or willingness to obtain Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required Recent hospital experience within the past 5 years required Skills checklist required within 1 year Additional Information Apply the nursing process within RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing Teach patients and significant others while documenting care in the medical record Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care Respond effectively to patient crisis and emergency situations Maintain flexibility to prioritize and adapt to rapidly-changing patient and unit needs Accept assignment to varied units with a friendly, helpful attitude No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested
