Part-Time or Full-Time, Based on Contract Requirements Position Overview The Registered Nurse provides direct healthcare services to Job Corps students, including health assessments, sick-call services, medication administration, emergency care, chronic-condition support, health education, and clinical documentation. The Nurse works closely with medical, mental health, and wellness staff to support student health and safety. Key Responsibilities Conduct student health assessments, including initial health evaluations, vital signs, immunization review, and required testing. Provide scheduled sick-call services and assess and treat minor illnesses and injuries. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with authorized physician orders. Provide emergency and trauma care and assist with management of chronic health conditions. Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with physicians, dentists, clinics, and other healthcare providers. Maintain accurate medical records, reports, and required clinical documentation. Support medication, medical supply, and controlled-substance accountability. Provide student health education on hygiene, disease prevention, reproductive health, nutrition, and healthy lifestyles. Participate in wellness, disability/accommodation, and health-promotion programs. Maintain compliance with privacy, safety, infection-control, and Job Corps requirements. Minimum Qualifications Must hold an active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state where services are provided. Must maintain required licenses, certifications, accreditations, and insurance throughout the contract period. Must maintain current BLS certification . Must meet background-check and drug-testing requirements, if required. Must be able to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
