Performs cardiac tests and assessments, educates patients and families about cardiac disease and preventative health care, and cares for patients after heart surgery. Works with specialized monitoring and treatment equipment. Trained to provide emergency medical care to cardiac patients. Works under the supervision of a physician. Works in hospital cardiology or intensive care units or cardiac rehabilitation programs.
Job Description The Providence Heart Institute in Oregon is seeking a full-time Cardiology nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join the team at the Providence Hood River Heart Clinic. Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital has 25 beds with an active medical staff of more than 160 providers. A full complement of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing is available on-site. The Cardiology practice in Hood River includes an experienced cardiologist and support staff.
