Who We Are Our 17-bed pediatrics department is the only dedicated children's health unit between Eugene and Redding. Often referred to as a "hospital within a hospital", we offer a full range of care for children ages one day to 17 years. Our outstanding team of clinicians includes pediatric physicians, nurses, and therapists. As we also offer comprehensive follow-up care in pediatric surgery, orthopedics, neurology, hematology, nephrology, oncology and intermediate care, you will have a unique opportunity to work across various pediatric services. Our team also partners with Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) as our intensive care consults have been offered through the OHSU Telemedicine Network since 2010. https://asante.wistia.com/medias/u864wklzp3 Who You Are An experienced RN who is cares about providing compassionate, efficient and high-quality nursing care for a diverse population of pediatric patients and their families A solid team player who enjoys working with a close team and stops at nothing to achieve a shared goal Interested and passionate about joining a pediatric team that supports a positive and fun culture A forward-thinking RN who not only enjoys learning new processes but supports change You offer high critical thinking and strong communication skills within a fast-paced environment What You'll Do Collaborate interdepartmentally to deliver excellent pediatric care Participate in clinical teams to focus on evidence-based continual improvements Demonstrate organizational skills in the delivery of nursing care to patients with flexibility and a willingness to adjust priorities in response to changes in patient acuity, volume, emergencies, staffing or scheduling Become part of an impressive and well recognized pediatric team that is the only regional inpatient pediatric care unit in the area What You Must Have Education Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN), preferred Experience Minimum 1 years of experience as an RN is required 1-year experience in an acute pediatric environment or PICU is preferred License/Certification Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required upon start Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified by American Heart Association (AHA) must be obtained within 4 months of hire date
