The OHSU Emergency Department provides around-the-clock multidisciplinary services to clients of all ages across the life span. The department hosts a Level 1 Trauma Center, Triage (including Fast-track and Rapid Medical Evaluations), Adult Acute Care, Adult Critical Care, Observation Unit, and Acute Psychiatric Care. Patients arrive to the ED via ambulance, walk-in, through the transfer center (Trauma & PANDA), and via Rapid Response Team. Based on internal ONA transfers first priority per ONA contractFunction/Duties of Position:

Required Qualifications:
Minimum requirements for allNurses:
Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) by 30 days before the start date (no later than 9/28/2024). Associate Degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire Current unencumbered Oregon RN license by 1 week before the start date Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications New hires will be enrolled and required to complete during orientation. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.Department Specific Requirements:
New Graduate Nurse:
Completion of 180 clinical hours of direct-patient care in an inpatient care area, 90 clinical hours of direct-patient care in an emergency department within 12-months of the current cohort start date preferred.Experienced Nurse:
2-years of current nursing experience in adult acute care, adult intermediate care, adult perianesthesia care unit, or emergency department observation.Additional Details:
