1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Oncology RN with ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification for a day shift acute care hospital assignment. Details Med/Surg Oncology unit in a short-term acute care hospital setting Patient ratio of 1:4 Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Every other weekend required Block scheduling required Floating between units and sister facilities may be required based on skill set No on-call responsibilities Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active RN license (Compact must be in hand at time of submission) OR RN license required BLS certification required

ONS/ONCC

Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required Minimum 1 year of experience required Experience with Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and CAR-T therapy patients preferred Skilled in chemotherapy administration, monitoring, and continuous/oral infusion Experience with IV therapy, blood product administration, and port/central line care Knowledge of oncologic emergencies including ATLS, anaphylaxis, extravasation, hemorrhage, sepsis, and spinal cord compression Skilled in symptom management including nausea, neuropathy, dysphagia, and altered mental status Must have a vehicle for this assignment Additional Information Provide direct oncology nursing care including chemotherapy administration and monitoring for treatment-related complications Manage chest tubes, neutropenic precautions, and various oncology-related symptoms May float to sister facilities within the region based on staffing needs First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this block schedule position Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) RTO requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated Any color scrubs accepted for this unit No parking fees at this facility
