Job Description

The job of Registered Nurse Educator was established for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional process by serving as an educator with specific responsibility for supervising adult students within the classroom and other assigned clinical areas; developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students' regarding instructional program and student progress. Essential functions include, but are not limited to: Administers curriculum based nursing instruction program and assessments, etc. for the purpose of evaluating student competency levels. Assesses student progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals for the purpose of providing feedback to students, and administration. Collaborates with administrators, instructional staff, other clinical personnel, and a variety of community resources for the purpose of improving the overall quality of program and student outcomes. Collect analyze and interpret data for the purpose of improving program, clinical facilities and accrediting agencies. Communicate with students regarding progress for the purpose of communicating expectations; student's achievements; developing methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroom goals. Manages students in a variety of educational environments (e.g. classroom, clinicals, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe, positive, and effective learning environment. Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred.
Certification Required:
Current Pennsylvania RN License required
Experience Required:
Job related experience required. Salary commensurate with experience
