A rewarding contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide critical support for a student with type 1 diabetes. This role involves 1:1 care during transportation to and from a specialized placement in Lancaster. The position begins immediately and continues for a 45-day assignment, making a real difference for a student who requires hands-on assistance to manage their health and ensure safety throughout the school commute.

Key Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania Previous experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or diabetic management preferred Strong assessment and clinical skills, especially with type 1 diabetes Ability to exercise constant supervision and respond quickly to changing medical needs Reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented approach to patient care Valid drivers license and dependable transportation

Your Responsibilities:

Accompany and supervise a student during daily morning and afternoon transportation between their home and a specialized program in Lancaster Monitor and support blood sugar levels, intervene appropriately as needed, and document any incidents according to policy Maintain clear communication with caregivers, school staff, and health professionals as necessary to ensure student safety Remain vigilant and provide a supportive, reassuring presence for the student Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and health regulations This assignment features a split scheduleapproximately 7:00-9:00 a.m. and 1:00-3:00 p.m.with a break during midday hours.
