Position Summary:

MedCadre is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for moderately to highly complex patients who require close monitoring and specialized nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients' conditions, identifying changes that require immediate intervention. Provide nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions requiring continuous monitoring. Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, oxygen saturation, and other clinical parameters. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status and potential clinical deterioration. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions. Follow infection prevention protocols and maintain patient safety standards.

Requirements:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required . Minimum 1 year of RN PCU experience required . BLS certification required. NIHSS certification required ACLS certification preferred COVID card (Medical/Religious exemptions are accepted)
