More about our team Join a dynamic outpatient nursing team that provides care across the GI Lab, Infusion Center, and Wound Clinic , offering a wide variety of clinical experiences in one role. Schedule This position primarily works day shift hours , typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. , with occasional schedule adjustments based on procedural and infusion patient volumes. Certain days may require an earlier start time, as early as 5:30 a.m. , to support scheduled procedures, with staff remaining until patient care needs are completed. How you'll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: Possesses complete knowledge and understanding of assessment and use of equipment. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of wounds, treatments, interventions and expected outcomes. Participates in new programs as developed. Oversees, provides, and coordinates delivery of holistic patient care for group of primary patients, under approved protocol. Provides direct care as primary nurse, oversees/coordinates total quality of care. Monitors utilization and outcomes. Provides input on budget issues affecting efficient care delivery, judicious use of products, clinic organization and staffing patterns. Participates in clinical trials and studies; adheres to trial and study guidelines. Assists with Performance & Improvement studies. Assists with Peer review process as needed. Implements the interventions identified in the established plan of care and collaborates with members of the Patient Care Team as needed. Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in patients such as cardiac arrest. Identifies monitored heart rhythms and implements appropriate treatment. Coordinates Medical Emergency situations, as required, and administers cardiac arrest drugs. Initiates specialized care and procedures specific to work area. Additional requirements include:
One-year minimum of Operating Room experience within the last five years (OR, PACU) or RN/GN with CST experience. Preferred CPR, ACLS, PALS and Basic Dysrhythmia Course obtained within 6 months of hire.
