Position:

The Registered Nurse (RN) role in the Cath Lab is a dynamic, procedural-based position supporting a range of interventional cardiovascular procedures. Responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, prepping patients, administering medications, monitoring during procedures, circulating, documenting, and post-procedure recovery. Assist with coronary and vascular revascularization procedures. Perform comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing duties. Rotate across scrubbing, monitoring/documenting, and circulating roles

Work Environment:

Procedural setting. Hands-on patient care with other team members. Will rotate between monitor/documenting, circulating, and scrub.

Technology Use:

Philips XPER for procedural documentation. Cerner for chart reviews and orders as needed

Schedule, Time Off, & Benefits :

Shifts:

Monday through Friday 8-hour shifts 7-3:30, or 7-5:30 if 10-hour shifts preferred. On call for emergencies, must be within 30 minutes of hospital.

PTO:

PTO is accrued every pay period, and you can purchase up to 40 hours of PTO during open enrollment. Employees typically work a minimum of 2 holidays a year depending on staffing. Call and off day requests typically granted with prior notice. Off day requests go to director (Karen) to approve depending on staffing, and "no-call" day requests given to clinician by the 10 th of the prior month.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other nurses, x-ray technologists and interventional cardiologists. Will occasionally collaborate with anesthesia, respiratory, critical care team, diagnostic imaging staff, and other nursing units.

Incorporates national professional organization as well as business unit and health system's goals to improve patient safety, quality and satisfaction of the patient experience in daily work.
