Situated along the Susquehanna River, BMC offers a wide range of services, including Primary Care, X-Ray, Laboratory, EMS, and Rehabilitation (PT and OT). As a designated Critical Access Hospital, we also provide Emergency Department care, inpatient Acute Care, and Swing Bed services. We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time Registered Nurse to join our team and experience the unique opportunity of rural healthcare at its best. Why Join Us? Key Responsibilities Provide compassionate, patient-focused care, ensuring every patient and family feels respected and supported. Triage, assess, and stabilize emergency department patients with confidence, partnering closely with the on-site physician. Deliver skilled nursing care to acute inpatients, including medication administration, monitoring, and care coordination. Care for swing bed patients, supporting their ongoing recovery while maintaining comfort and dignity. Multi-task seamlessly between ER, acute, and swing duties—turning variety into a rewarding opportunity to broaden your skills and make a greater impact. Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure trust and continuity of care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives Document all care thoroughly and accurately in accordance with hospital policies and standards. Respond calmly and effectively in urgent situations, keeping patient safety and service excellence as top priorities. Qualifications Current RN license in Pennsylvania (or eligibility). BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred (required within 90 days of employment). Strong clinical judgment and adaptability to varied patient needs. Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills. Previous ED, acute care, or swing bed experience a plus—but we are willing to train motivated candidates. Pay Range:
$45.00 - 48.00 per hour depending on experience Schedule Full-time Every other weekend requirement. May be granted less of a weekend requirement dependent on the unit needs as determined by management. What We Offer Competitive pay and $2/per hour shift differential for night shift Health and vision insurance benefits available following successful completion of probationary period. Additional benefits include 100% of all Laboratory and Radiology services provided by Bucktail Medical Center as well as a 50% discount for all other services rendered at the hospital or primary care services 403b eligible after 90 days of service with a 25% employer match. Generous paid vacation, holidays, personal days, and sick days prorated after successful completion of probationary period; prorated paid holidays after 6 months of service.
