Job Description

Role Summary The Registered Nurse Infusion functions as an independent contractor and a key clinical partner to HAVN Infusion Therapy. This role delivers exceptional infusion and injection therapy services to patients in accordance with physician orders, professional standards, and applicable regulations. As an independent professional, the RN upholds HAVN's mission of compassionate, precise, and patient-focused care. This role requires advanced infusion expertise, clinical judgment, and professionalism. RNs represent HAVN's commitment to providing safe, reliable, and high-quality care in every patient interaction. Scope of Services Patient Care and Infusion Delivery Perform infusion and injection therapy independently in home or alternate-site settings according to established clinical standards. Verify physician orders, patient identity, and medication integrity before administration. Monitor patient condition during and after infusion, responding appropriately to adverse reactions or complications. Communicate promptly with the Director of Nursing regarding patient progress, incidents, or care concerns. Clinical Accuracy and Safety Utilize aseptic technique, vascular access management, and medication handling best practices. Maintain infection prevention standards and adherence to manufacturer instructions for use. Accurately document all patient care, infusion details, and follow-up communication in AlayaCare in accordance with HAVN's documentation expectations. Patient Education and Experience Educate patients and caregivers about infusion therapy, medication expectations, side effects, and home care instructions. Ensure each patient encounter reflects empathy, professionalism, and clinical precision. Promote HAVN's culture of dignity, trust, and compassion. Coordination and Communication Coordinate closely with HAVN's administrative team to ensure seamless care delivery. Maintain timely, professional communication regarding scheduling, supply needs, and patient outcomes. Represent HAVN Infusion Therapy with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all patient and partner interactions. Professional Accountability Functions as an independent contractor, not an employee, and assumes full responsibility for managing work schedule, tax obligations, and clinical practice standards. Seeks clarification from HAVN leadership when needed to ensure alignment with organizational and patient care expectations. Maintains professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times. Provides services with reliability, timeliness, and a commitment to excellence. Qualifications Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Pennsylvania. Current CRNI certification or commitment to obtain within six (6) months of contracting. Minimum of two (2) years of professional nursing experience in infusion therapy, critical care, emergency room, or high-acuity clinical environments. Demonstrated proficiency in IV insertion, vascular access management, and infusion pump operation. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills. Must maintain personal professional liability insurance and provide proof of active coverage. Must have reliable personal transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance. Contractor is responsible for all taxes and insurance Contractor maintains control over how professional services are performed, provided that care meets established clinical and ethical standards. Contractor must maintain professional credentials, licensure, and liability insurance at all times during engagement. The relationship may be terminated by either party according to the terms of the Independent Contractor Agreement.
