The purpose of this job is to provide nursing services to our students/clients. In this position, the incumbent uses medial/clinical skills to assist with removing medically-related barriers to academic and behavioral progress of our students/clients. Responsibilities and Duties (full description available at https://wfspa.org/careers ) 1. Participate in the development, interpretation and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practices 2. Conduct health assessments as required by regulation and according to best practices for the individualized needs of the student and/or situation, including each time physical management is implemented 3. Develop and maintain individualized health plans for students, including communications with parents, referrals as needed and ongoing health counseling. 4. Develop and implement the medication administration process 5. Provide health education to students, families and staff to facilitate responsible decision-making; includes providing medication education and serving as a resource person for the development of health curriculum. 6. Participate and collaborate with team members as the health specialist in the development of the I.E.P. and treatment plan as it relates to health and wellness issues. Qualifications and Skills Education RN or BSN from an accredited university or school of nursing Psychiatric focus preferred Experience Minimum of 3 years nursing experience with children and adolescents with mental health disorders Licenses, Certifications & Clearances Licensed in PA as RN PA State and FBI criminal background clearances, current within one year at time of hire PA Child Abuse clearance, current within one year at time of hire Valid PA drivers' license
