Job Description

Wilkes University invites applicants for a full time 12 month staff position as an Accelerated Baccalaureate Nursing Program (ABSN) Coordinator in the Undergraduate Department of the Passan School of Nursing (PSON). The Passan School of Nursing offers both undergraduate and graduate programs and is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The successful candidate is responsible for overseeing the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the online ABSN program in collaboration with the dean, undergraduate chair. The individual will collaborate with departments within the University for recruitment, enrollment and student success. The program coordinator also serves as the academic advisor for all ABSN program students.
Duties include:
triage of telephone calls and emails, working with database systems and with other university departments, preparation of CCNE, and State Board reports, conducting evaluation processes, and management of assigned projects. A Master's in Nursing is required as well as eligibility for licensure to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years employed as a registered nurse. Academic experience preferred. Computer skills are a necessity and organization and time management skills are essential. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
