1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an EP Lab position requiring PA or compact license, ACLS/BLS certification, and EPIC charting experience. Details Work in Invasive Cardiology unit comprised of 4 Cardiac Cath Labs and 2 EP Labs with 23 prep/recovery bays Unit completes over 6,000 procedures annually including complex coronary procedures, VAD/ECMO, TAVR, left atrial appendage occlusion, PFO/ASD closure, mitral valve clipping, complex atrial and ventricular ablations, pacemaker/ICD implants, cardioversion, pulmonary artery pressure sensor implantation, peripheral intervention, and pulmonary embolectomy procedures Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM, with flexibility to stay until last patient is cared for No weekend requirements Call may be required No guaranteed holidays off but expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day), or 1 of 2 if contract spans only two Floating required as needed Requirements Active RN license, PA or Compact required Current BLS and ACLS certification Minimum 2 years of experience required EP Lab and Cardiac Cath Lab competencies required EPIC charting experience required Skills required include End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, ACT, cardioversion, circulating procedures, infection prevention, monitoring procedural sedation, and obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG Medication administration experience with antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, reversal agents, thrombolytics, and IV therapy IV skills including blood product administration, IV infusion pumps, and starting/maintaining IVs Experience with EP procedures including cardiac ablation and pacemaker insertion preferred Must pass EKG exam within 72 hours of signing contract Additional Information Provide direct patient care in EP Lab and Pre/Post Procedure settings May care for COVID-positive patients Tobacco and fragrance free facility Candidates within 50 miles are considered local Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
