Three Rivers District Health Department is recruiting a self-motivated, energetic, passionate individual to fill current opening for Community Health Strategist in Gallatin County in KY.

General Duties:

Effectively leads the health improvement strategy for an entire community, shifting from individual agency/programmatic initiatives to an entire community approach. The Community Health Strategist leads a multi-sector effort to focus community resources on improving specific outcomes to achieve a better overall health status. Convening a community multi-collaborative, a Community Health Strategist is an engaged change leader, who builds community coalitions that investigate and take action to make meaningful progress. Participates in and provides support/consultation to community coalitions. Works effectively and efficiently with community organizations, local professional groups, school districts and various agencies providing education and technical assistance. Supports and encourages all programs and public health initiatives.

Preferred Education, Training or Experience:

Degree from an accredited college or university. Position is relevant to (but not limited to) those with various education and/or work experience in Community/Economic Development, Public Policy, Public Relations, Marketing, or Public Health. Must be able to travel within the district area, as well as attend trainings elsewhere; travel is reimbursed.
