Contract Nurse

Meaningful Day Services is searching for an energetic, caring and detailed oriented person to join our team as our new Contract Nurse ! Meaningful Day Services serves individuals with developmental disabilities. The Agency Nurse position is a dynamic and exciting position with a leading role in the Wellness Coordination department, guiding clients towards improvement of overall health and maintaining medical records around wellness checks. Contract Nurse reviews Person-Centered Individualized Support Plans (PCISP's) to identify risks and develop High Risk Plans for clients. Contract Nurse trains team members on these plans and updates them annually. Contract Nurse actively participates in Interdisciplinary Teams, providing a medical perspective in the development of clients' objectives and goals. Contract Nurse completes Quality Assurance reports for medication errors, training our staff on medication administration and management following Core A/B guidelines, diet and nutrition, infection control, lifts and transfers, seizure management and other topics as assigned. Contract Nurse also attends monthly Human Rights Committee meetings and assists with orientation, training new staff and updating training materials as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Must have a current State Registered Nurse License (RN) or credentials of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Must have a valid Driver's License and ability to drive. Experience in Risk Plan development and implementation. Experience and training in the field of developmental disabilities. CPR and First Aid certifications. Handle with Care training. Core A/B Trainer Certification.
