Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care across various settings, including acute care, long-term care, outpatient clinics, and community health environments. Your expertise will help ensure patients receive comprehensive, personalized treatment while supporting their recovery and well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, utilizing your broad skill set to make a meaningful difference every day. Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform care plans. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and medication management in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and medical records management. Assist with complex procedures such as suturing, catheterization (including urinary and vascular), tube feeding, and sterile processing techniques. Manage acute pain through appropriate interventions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in trauma medicine, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or emergency settings. Conduct diagnostic evaluations like laboratory specimen collection/processing, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and basic laboratory tests. Provide patient education on health coaching topics such as geriatrics, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice & palliative medicine, or family planning. Support discharge planning and case management efforts to ensure seamless transitions of care across settings like hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care environments. Qualifications Valid RN license in the state of practice with current CPR/BLS certification. Proven experience in diverse clinical settings such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, critical care transport, or outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology principles, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation. Ability to perform advanced skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, aseptic technique, ventilator management, and wound suturing. Excellent communication skills for patient assessment and interdisciplinary collaboration within fast-paced environments such as trauma centers or Level I & II Trauma Centers. Knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. Join us in delivering compassionate care that transforms lives!
