403 (b) matching 403 (b) Health insurance Paid time off Training & development Vision insurance Wellness resources Competitive salary Dental insurance Flexible schedule GCHS, Western Kansas Oncology Group, is seeking a Shared Services Clinical Nurse Navigator who will serve as a patient advocate and care coordinator, guiding patients through the healthcare continuum while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across multiple service lines. This role supports patients by providing clinical education, coordinating care, facilitating communication among providers, and helping remove barriers to timely, high-quality healthcare. The Clinical Nurse Navigator works closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, case management, social work, and community resources to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall patient experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Serve as the primary point of contact for oncology patients, ensuring seamless communication and referral process between providers, staff, and patients. Oversee the coordination of oncology services at multiple clinics, ensuring adherence to protocols and best practices. Provide guidance and support to nursing staff at outlying facilities as needed, including on-site support occasionally as needed. Schedule patients in a timely manner at the most appropriate location based on their medical needs, travel considerations, and treatment plan. Work closely with physicians, infusion nurses, and administrative staff to optimize scheduling efficiency and resource allocation. Ensure that chemotherapy and other infusion treatments are administered safely and per established guidelines. Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide education on treatment plans, potential side effects, and supportive care options, and be available for consultation to outreach locations. Education and/or Experience Associates degree in Nursing from a two-year nursing program or Bachelor's degree (B.S.N.) from a four-year college or university. Active RN license in the state of Kansas or Compact License. Minimum of 2 years of clinical oncology experience required. Proficiency in chemotherapy infusion administration.
