Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting student health this summer as a Registered Nurse within a dynamic school environment. This contract opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule with 25 hours per week, running from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The assignment spans from July 7th to August 7th, making it an ideal fit for professionals seeking impactful, short-term work near the Coventry, RI area.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Rhode Island Previous experience in school settings or pediatric care strongly preferred Ability to respond calmly and efficiently to student medical needs Proficient in health screenings, medication administration, and documentation Effective communicator with students, parents, and school staff Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Responsibilities & Daily Duties:
Provide direct care for students requiring medical attention throughout the school day Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders Manage health records, documenting visits, interventions, and outcomes as required Conduct routine health screenings and communicate findings appropriately Collaborate with educators and administrative staff regarding student health plans and emergencies Support public health initiatives and promote wellness within the school community This is an excellent opportunity to connect with students, play a key part in their well-being, and enjoy a predictable daytime schedule, all within the supportive environment of a school.
