Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career in a dynamic post-anesthesia care environment, working alongside dedicated professionals who prioritize patient safety and comfort. We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse experienced in PACU care for a contract role, providing critical support to patients as they recover from anesthesia after surgical procedures.
Qualifications:
Active RN license in good standing Minimum of one year recent experience in a PACU or similar post-anesthesia setting Comprehensive knowledge of PACU procedures and protocols Ability to monitor, assess, and respond to patients' evolving needs during post-operative recovery Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills BLS and ACLS certification required
Schedule:
Working hours and shifts to be discussed during the interview process
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring airway patency, vital sign stability, and overall safety Provide rapid assessment and intervention as needed for post-operative complications or adverse reactions Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers to facilitate efficient patient recovery and transition to subsequent units or discharge Educate patients and their families regarding the recovery process, post-operative care instructions, and medication management Accurately document all patient information, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment consistent with best practices and facility protocols
