An experienced Registered Nurse is sought to join the cardiac stepdown unit, providing vital support and advanced monitoring for patients who require specialized cardiac care.

Skills and Qualifications:

Current, active RN license in good standing Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a stepdown, telemetry, or cardiac care setting Proficient in cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and responding to patient changes Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills BLS and ACLS certifications required

Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive cardiac interventions Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret ECG results, and report any changes in patient condition promptly Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans Educate patients and families on cardiac health, post-procedure instructions, and discharge planning Manage medications and monitor their effects, ensuring safe administration according to protocols Document all assessments and interventions accurately within electronic medical records Participate actively in performance improvement initiatives and uphold rigorous infection control standards
