Key Qualifications:

Current and unencumbered RN license Previous experience in a Cardiac Stepdown or closely related nursing environment Strong assessment and clinical skills, particularly with cardiac conditions Proficiency with cardiac monitoring equipment and interpretation of EKGs Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and maintain a calm approach under pressure Clear verbal and written communication skills Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct patient care and monitoring on a Cardiac Stepdown unit Assess changes in patient status and implement appropriate interventions Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans Educate patients and families about recovery processes, medications, and ongoing health needs Administer medications and perform routine procedures with accuracy and compassion Document patient information and interventions thoroughly in medical records Support a safe, respectful clinical environment for both patients and staff
