Registered Nurse (RN) Community living of Rhode Island - 3.0 East Greenwich, RI Job Details Permanent | Full-time From $45 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications RN License Full Job Description Community Living of Rhode Island (CLRI) is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing oversight and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities receiving residential and community-based services. The RN will work closely with individuals, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality healthcare services and compliance with state and agency regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct nursing assessments and monitor the health status of individuals receiving services. Develop, implement, and review nursing care plans and healthcare protocols. Coordinate medical appointments and communicate with physicians, specialists, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers. Review medical documentation and ensure accurate health records are maintained. Train and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other staff on medical procedures, medication administration, health-related protocols, and infection control practices. Monitor medication administration and ensure compliance with agency policies and state regulations. Respond to medical emergencies and provide clinical guidance as needed. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized service planning. Ensure compliance with BHDDH, Medicaid, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations and standards. Conduct regular health and safety reviews of residential programs. Assist with incident reviews and follow-up related to medical concerns. Promote the health, independence, and overall well-being of individuals served. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Rhode Island. Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience preferred. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred. Strong clinical assessment and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge of state regulations, medication administration practices, and healthcare documentation requirements. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record. Physical Requirements Ability to travel to residential and day program locations throughout Rhode Island. Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and assist individuals as needed. Ability to respond to emergency situations.
