Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Take your nursing career to the next level by providing dedicated 1:1 care in a school setting. This contract opportunity involves working closely with an 8th-grade student, supporting their health needs both during school hours and on their daily bus rides. As a Registered Nurse, you'll make a meaningful impact by ensuring safety, comfort, and continuous care for a child with diverse medical needs.
What You'll Bring:
Current, active RN license Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Confidence in providing care for complex needs, including ventilator support, G-tube management, skin integrity, and brittle bone conditions Ability to work compassionately with nonverbal students—this child communicates with an iPad Strong communication and documentation skills Professionalism and commitment to patient dignity
Key Responsibilities:
Ride to and from school on the bus with the student, ensuring medical safety Remain with the student throughout the school day, addressing medical needs as required Administer medications, tube feedings, and monitor respiratory support Support mobility and transfers with attention to fragile bones Maintain accurate and detailed nursing documentation Collaborate with teachers and school staff to provide an inclusive and supportive environment What's in it for
