Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting an inspiring 8th-grade student as a dedicated one-to-one RN. In this impactful position, you'll make a difference each day by offering attentive care and guidance as the student's school nurse companion, both during the school day and on the bus to and from campus.
Key Qualifications:
Current and unrestricted RN license Experience in pediatric nursing or working within a school environment preferred Comfortable providing care for children with ventilators, G-tubes, and specialized health needs (skin integrity, fragile bones) Confident supporting students with alternate communication devices, such as an iPad Compassionate, patient, and adaptable in dynamic school settings Capable of effective communication with students, staff, and families Reliable and committed to consistency throughout the contract period
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver hands-on medical support and supervision for an 8th-grade student throughout the school day and during bus rides Monitor and address health concerns, including ventilation, G-tube feeds, and skin care Maintain detailed health records in compliance with nursing and school guidelines Foster a safe, inclusive environment for learning and social participation Serve as a collaborative resource to educators and support staff Communicate clearly regarding student needs with families and the school care team Employees enjoy the security of W-2 status, weekly pay for straightforward budgeting, comprehensive benefits including healthcare, and opportunities for future retirement savings with a 401k.
