Provides direct nursing care, patient and student education and counseling, coordination of services for patients and their families, supervision of program activity in specialized areas or patient needs assessment.JOB DUTIES
30%Patient Care:
Performs prescribed medication administration, monitoring, and treatment to patients. Administers immunizations required by Clemson University. Provides a safe environment. 10%Professional Development:
Maintains individual nursing competencies and stays abreast of emerging trends in college health and higher education. Assumes responsibility of actions and judgments. 30%Assessment and Advocacy:
Recognizes signs and symptoms of physical and emotional illness. Functions as a patient advocate and provides patient education. Establishes and maintains confidence and cooperation of patients. 30%
Patient Preparation:
Prepares patients for healthcare provider visits by taking patient's history, vital signs, current medications, allergies, and reasons for visit. Documents information in patient's record. Orders appropriate lab tests. Assists healthcare provider with examinations, treatments, and procedures.JOB CODE

Expected Salary Range 52,000- 56,383 Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Emergency Response- In the event of an emergency closure or modified operations, this position is required to respond in order to provide the University's initial response to the emergency situation, including the execution of mission essential functions.
