Job Description
Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Travel Set against the beautiful backdrop of Goose Creek, SC, this travel role offers the chance to experience coastal living while working in a renowned teaching and Magnet-designated facility. Charleston's rich history, vibrant dining scene, and access to beaches and endless outdoor activities means your downtime can be just as rewarding as your professional experience. With a Level I Trauma Center setting and a high-performance surgical team, you'll benefit from exposure to advanced technology—including five surgical robots—and collaborate across specialties such as plastics, colorectal, urology, MIS, pancreatic/biliary, and surgical oncology. This assignment creates the perfect platform to expand your clinical expertise in both scrub and circulating roles and to diversify your resume with challenging cases. You'll discover new leadership styles, best practices, and broaden your network, all while taking advantage of the distinct privileges travel assignments offer.
Schedule/Hours:
Day shift: 3x12s (Monday to Friday, 06:30-19:00) 5-8 on-call shifts/month (including a weekend); holiday call may be requiredDesired Qualifications:
Active SC or multi-state RN license in hand before the assignment Minimum 2 years' recent Operating Room experience Must be fully competent in scrubbing and circulating Experience with advanced specialty cases (plastics, urology, colorectal, robotics) highly preferred AHA BLS and ACLS required Willingness to use a radiation badge (provided) Strong adaptability for trauma and teaching hospital environmentsKey Responsibilities:
Scrub and circulate a variety of general OR cases Collaborate seamlessly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams Function efficiently in fast-paced trauma and surgical oncology cases Be prepared for emergency response roles during hurricane seasonBenefits and Perks:
