Category Nursing - RN-MS Job Type Contract Elevate patient care and make a meaningful impact as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Cardiac Stepdown care. This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered nursing interventions to individuals requiring specialized cardiac and med/surg support.
Position Requirements:
Active and unencumbered RN license Recent experience in a Medical-Surgical or Cardiac Stepdown nursing setting Advanced knowledge of cardiac monitoring, interventions, and telemetry Proficient in assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans Strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare professionals Ability to handle high-acuity situations with exceptional critical thinking Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
Role Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess patients recovering from cardiac events, surgical procedures, or acute illnesses Interpret cardiac rhythms and promptly respond to arrhythmias or cardiac emergencies Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, including IV drips and cardiac medications Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and allied health providers in coordinating patient care Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes thoroughly and accurately Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families throughout the recovery process Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance protocols Experience the satisfaction of working in an environment dedicated to exceptional outcomes for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
