All shifts What You'll Do Provides direct and/or indirect nursing care under the direction of the Department Director and/or Charge Nurse Delivers safe, effective, and professional nursing care to assigned patients Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the healthcare needs of patients Cares for a diverse patient population, from infants to geriatrics (unless otherwise specified) Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes Maintains a customer-focused approach and supports hospital and unit goals Delivers nursing care that aligns with established practice standards and clinical guidelines Must be willing and able to float to other comparable nursing units and locations as needed
What We're Looking For Education:
High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
Experience:
One year relevant experience, preferred. Licensure/Certification Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. IV therapy training and/or competency within one year Annual participation in Skills Fair and completion of competency checklists Maintains any required department-specific certifications Must have current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications TNCC certification required within one year of hire Advanced certification in specialty and/or participation in professional nursing organizations encouraged Why Choose Novant Health?
