This assignment focuses on providing skilled nursing care and guidance in a supportive school environment throughout the 26/27 school year.
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license in the state or compact licensure eligibility Previous experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or similar clinical environments preferred Strong understanding of legal and compliance requirements in school health services Ability to maintain organized records and clear communication with staff, students, and families CPR/BLS certification required Excellent problem-solving, empathy, and interpersonal skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct nursing care to students and staff, including assessment, intervention, and health counseling Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans in collaboration with educational teams Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and district policy Manage medication administration, chronic condition monitoring, and response to emergencies Lead health education initiatives, immunization programs, and training sessions for school staff Serve as a resource for legal and medical documentation, providing accurate reports as required
