Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients in their final stages of life. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and a deep understanding of hospice and palliative medicine. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for patients and their families, ensuring comfort and dignity during this critical time. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to hospice patients, focusing on pain management and symptom control. Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring safe and effective medication administration practices. Conduct assessments of patient needs, including physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Provide education and support to patients' families regarding end-of-life care options and processes. Assist with procedures such as spinal taps, CT scans, or other necessary interventions as required. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and progress in compliance with regulatory standards. Advocate for the needs and preferences of patients, ensuring their wishes are respected throughout the hospice journey. Attend IDG Meetings every 14 days. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license is required; experience in hospice or palliative care is preferred. Strong background in palliative care is a plus. Proficiency in medication administration and patient care practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to work compassionately under pressure while maintaining professionalism at all times. $35.00 per hour
