Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Contract Experience a rewarding opportunity utilizing your expertise as a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care. This contract position provides a chance to deliver high-quality surgical nursing within advanced operating room environments and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active RN license Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience Proficient in all aspects of intraoperative cardiovascular care and techniques Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, instrumentation, and perioperative protocols Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in urgent and high-pressure situations
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time shifts; schedule details provided during the interview process
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiovascular surgical procedures Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient, and effective surgical experiences Prepare and maintain the operating suite and all necessary instruments specific to cardiac and vascular procedures Monitor patients' conditions and respond rapidly to surgical developments or emergencies Adhere to strict infection control standards and best practices Deliver patient and family education regarding pre- and post-operative care as needed Meticulously document care in patient records
