Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Take your operating room nursing expertise to the next level in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract opportunity is well-suited for skilled Registered Nurses with proven experience in perioperative care and a commitment to providing patient-centered service during surgical procedures.
Key Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted RN license Demonstrated experience in the Operating Room setting, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op responsibilities Proficient in patient assessment, surgical preparation, sterile technique, and documentation Current BLS and ACLS certifications Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the surgical team Ability to adapt quickly and remain calm under pressure in fast-paced situations
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers throughout procedures, anticipating needs and maintaining sterile fields Ensure all surgical equipment and instruments are prepared and accounted for prior to cases Monitor and document vital signs, responses to anesthesia, and overall patient status Advocate for patient safety, infection control, and high-quality standards at all times Communicate clearly with surgeons, surgical techs, and support staff Support recovery and transition of care, offering education to patients and family members as needed This position offers you the chance to work alongside dedicated clinicians in a high-acuity operating room, utilizing advanced clinical skills and technological resources.
