A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.
Mobridge Regional Hospital & Clinic s is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Specialty Clinic team. This position provides an opportunity to work alongside multiple specialty providers while delivering compassionate, high-quality care to a diverse patient population.
What You'll Do:
Provide professional and compassionate nursing care to specialty clinic patients. Assess patients, obtain and document clinical information, and use appropriate triage and critical-thinking skills. Assist providers with examinations, procedures, treatments, and diagnostic testing. Administer medications and immunizations and provide pre- and post-procedure care. Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, procedures, and follow-up care. Coordinate referrals, testing, medical records, appointments, and other patient care needs. Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and healthcare team members. Assist with telehealth visits and specialty services as applicable. Respond appropriately to urgent and emergent patient needs. Maintain a safe, organized, and well-equipped clinical environment while following infection prevention and safety standards. Participate in department education, quality improvement, and other organizational initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota. Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain certification through Mobridge Regional Hospital & Clinics. Strong communication, organization, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills. Ability to work effectively with multiple providers and as part of a team. One year of clinic or hospital nursing experience preferred. Specialty clinic or outpatient nursing experience preferred.
