  • September 25, 2026 The Nursing Clinical Internship (NCI) at Avera Heart Hospital is a 10-week, full-time, paid internship during the summer.
The NCI program will provide you the experience to expand your clinical skills while working in partnership with a designated Registered Nurse preceptor. The NCI program provides students with the ability to learn directly from health care workers. NCI applicants must be enrolled in an accredited RN program (Associate or Bachelor degree) and have participated in an academic clinical experience. At the time of the internship, NCI students must be within 1 or 2 semesters of their graduation date (Winter 2027 or Spring 2028). Step into your future with the NCI program at Avera Heart Hospital!
