The RN will provide direct patient care and clinical support to individuals receiving medically supervised outpatient detoxification services. Candidates with experience in substance abuse treatment, detoxification services, and mental health are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to manage high-volume admissions while maintaining quality care for established patients. Our ambulatory detox program operates 7 days per week, and candidates must be available to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conduct patient assessments and ongoing monitoring during detox treatment Manage high-volume patient admissions efficiently while maintaining accuracy and quality of care Provide ongoing nursing care and support for established patients throughout treatment Monitor and document withdrawal symptoms using approved assessment tools Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols Provide care for patients with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders Recognize and respond appropriately to psychiatric, behavioral health, and medical emergencies Provide patient education regarding medications, detoxification, recovery, relapse prevention, and discharge planning Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) Collaborate with providers, counselors, case managers, and multidisciplinary treatment teams Ensure compliance with Tennessee nursing regulations, facility policies, confidentiality standards, and patient safety protocols Promote a safe, respectful, and therapeutic treatment environment Qualifications Current, active Tennessee RN license in good standing Current CPR/BLS certification required Minimum of 1 year experience in substance abuse treatment, detoxification, behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or mental health preferred Ability to manage a high patient volume in a fast-paced clinical environment Strong clinical assessment and crisis intervention skills Excellent communication, documentation, multitasking, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Schedule 12-hour shifts required Facility open 7 days per week Daytime and weekend availability required Full-time and part-time positions available Equal Opportunity Employer We are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
