Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients during daytime shifts, including assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning. Monitor vital signs and conduct physical examinations to evaluate patient conditions accurately. Administer IV infusions and injections while adhering to strict sterile procedures and safety protocols. Manage medical documentation efficiently using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to ensure accurate record-keeping. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans and discharge planning. Perform specialized procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding management, and basic life support (BLS) as needed. Conduct triage assessments for incoming patients or residents, prioritizing urgent needs based on clinical evaluation. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and long-term care standards to protect patient confidentiality and ensure quality care delivery.

Requirements Valid nursing license with current registration in the state of practice. Proven experience in critical care settings such as ICU, emergency room, or hospital medicine; experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations is highly preferred. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; familiarity with

ICD-9/10

coding is a plus. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to acute and chronic conditions including dementia, Alzheimer's disease, infectious diseases, and pain management. Demonstrated ability to perform advanced nursing procedures including IV insertion, venipuncture, catheter care, and airway management. Excellent client communication skills with experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays. Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid, and CPR are required; additional certifications such as hospice care or trauma center experience are advantageous. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies at all times.
