A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. Position Details:
Full-time Day shift 6:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Rotating weekends Registered Nurse (RN)
Qualifications and Skills:
State of Tennessee licensure (or eligible) as a
Registered Nurse Essential Functions:
Access and diagnose resident and family needs to provide quality care to assigned residents. Develop, discuss and communicate a realistic problem list (plan of care) for each resident in collaboration with each resident/family/significant other in order to address all identified needs. Demonstrate the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions, and procedures as necessary for the care of the resident. Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team, in order to ensure quality care. Function as a role model for current and new staff. Perform all responsibilities/duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service to ensure that the unique nature of the resident is addressed.
