This neonatal nursing position focuses on providing holistic, high-quality care to neonatal patients, incorporating emotional support and education to promote well-being. Applicants must have a nursing diploma or degree, be licensed in Tennessee, and obtain BLS and NRP certifications within 90 days of hire. Preferred experience in NICU or Special Care Nursery. Must be able to respond quickly when on call and work in a NICU environment with patients from birth to 90 days old. Requires proficiency with various medical equipment, good communication skills, and physical ability to stand long hours and lift heavy loads. Key responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, planning individualized care, administering medications, documenting accurately, and reassessing patient responses. Additional duties involve patient teaching, discharge planning, staff support, maintaining a safe environment, and adhering to policies and safety standards.
