In this flexible, PRN role, you will perform comprehensive assessments, manage ventilators and drips, administer medications, and respond rapidly to changes in patient status. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and document care accurately. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to critically ill adults in the ICU, including assessment, monitoring, and intervention Administer medications, manage ventilators, drips, and complex equipment according to physician orders and protocols Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-ICU care, promoting understanding and safety Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record Respond rapidly to patient status changes and emergencies, following ICU and hospital policies Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes Float or flex shifts as needed to support ICU staffing needs in a PRN capacity Required Skills ICU nursing Ventilator management Hemodynamic monitoring Medication administration Critical care assessment EKG interpretation EMR documentation Infection control ACLS protocols Patient and family education
