Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care across diverse medical settings. In this role, you will utilize your clinical expertise to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the highest standards of safety, comfort, and health outcomes. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine care needs. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and medication administration. Manage complex clinical procedures such as catheterization, suturing, ventilator management, and ostomy care with precision and aseptic technique. Coordinate patient care activities across multiple departments including emergency medicine, ICU, pediatrics, geriatrics, and behavioral health to ensure seamless treatment delivery. Document all patient interactions thoroughly using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner while adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality. Provide patient education on health coaching topics such as nutrition, pain management, discharge planning, and chronic disease management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for case management, trauma medicine, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and occupational health initiatives. Experience Proven experience as a Registered Nurse in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency room (ER), ICU (Intensive Care Unit), or outpatient clinics. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation and coding (ICD-9/10; CPT). Critical care experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers or specialized units like PICU (Pediatric ICU) or Neonatal ventilator management preferred. Hands-on experience with advanced procedures such as laboratory specimen collection/processing, sonography, gastroscopy or spinal tap is advantageous. Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterile processing techniques essential for maintaining patient safety standards. Familiarity with medical terminology related to cardiology (cardiac catheterization), nephrology (dialysis), orthopedics (DME), and geriatrics enhances your ability to deliver specialized care. Strong background working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays in settings like assisted living or memory care is highly valued.
