1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology RN for a clinic-based position requiring a TN or compact license and chemotherapy administration skills. Details Clinic-based oncology unit setting Monday through Friday schedule, day shift (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) 13-week contract length No weekend scheduling required Requirements Active TN or compact RN license required Minimum of 1 year of relevant oncology nursing experience required BLS certification required ONS certification required, OCN highly preferred ACLS, APHON, CPHON, CPON, NIHSS, and PALS certifications preferred Experience with chemotherapy administration, including IV push and continuous infusion methods Skilled in accessing and managing central lines, PICC lines, and ports Experience administering blood products, coagulation factors, and biotherapy agents preferred Knowledge of cytotoxic spill management and body fluid handling post-chemotherapy preferred Experience caring for patients with various cancer diagnoses preferred Two professional references required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct oncology nursing care including chemotherapy administration and symptom management Support patients undergoing treatment for a range of cancer diagnoses including breast, lung, colorectal, and blood cancers Collaborate with care teams on psychosocial support, advanced directives, and hospice care as needed Monitor for and manage treatment side effects and abnormal lab values Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment process
