1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring 2+ years of PICU experience and a TN or compact RN license. Details 14-bed PICU with 11 private rooms and one semi-private area of 3 beds Patient population ranges from infants to 21 years old Common diagnoses include DKA, respiratory failure, respiratory distress, pneumonia, status asthmaticus, trauma, sepsis, ingestion, seizures, altered mental status, post-arrest, and post-surgical care Bedside procedures include central line/arterial line placement, chest tube placement, bronchoscopy, and EVD/bolt placement Uses Philips monitors, Servo ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo feeding pumps 3x12 day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM Every other weekend (EOW) required Floating to other units required as needed Requirements Active TN or compact RN license required Current BLS and PALS certifications required Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Two professional references required for consideration SSN and DOB required in profile at time of consideration Additional Information Care for critically ill pediatric patients requiring advanced respiratory, cardiovascular, neurologic, and renal support Manage ventilated patients, chest tubes, EVDs, and central/arterial lines as needed First-time travelers will not be considered for this role Travelers who have oriented at this facility within the past year are not required to reorient RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
