1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg/Tele Float RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and a TN or compact RN license. Details Float pool position covering MS/Tele, ER Holding, and possibly PCU/Stepdown units based on skills and need Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30 Patient ratio of 1:7 Weekend requirement of 6 weekend nights per 6-week schedule, plus holidays as needed Uses Cerner EMR and Omnicell medication system 13-week assignment length Requirements Active TN or compact RN license required BLS certification required ACLS certification preferred NIHSS certification required (can be obtained after offer) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Cerner charting experience required Must be able to pass EKG testing before start date Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, PICC line management, port access, and blood product administration Respiratory skills including BiPAP/CPAP management and oxygen administration Certifications and licensure must not expire within 45 days of start date Additional Information Bi-weekly orientation schedule for new hires Floating assigned in accordance with facility floating policies and clinical experience, with appropriate orientation to new units Holiday RTO requests will not be accommodated during specified holiday periods throughout the contract RTO cannot be requested within 14 days of the start date and cannot exceed 7 days Previous permanent staff cannot return to the same campus within 24 months of separation, but may return to another Covenant Health campus after 12 months Travel teams who are related or married cannot be placed on the same unit Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
