Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - Other Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in cardiac perfusion to an advanced, dynamic hospital environment with a focus on complex cardiac and transplant cases. This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced perfusionist with strong clinical skills and a passion for providing critical care support in a Level 1 Trauma setting.
Schedule:
8-hour shifts per week, starting at 6:30am Monday through Friday coverage, with required on-call participation (nights/weekends tiered system)
Orientation Dates:
9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26 only
Required Qualifications:
American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) Certification Active Tennessee Clinical Perfusionist License High school or college diploma necessary for CAPS certification Minimum 5 years of perfusionist experience, with at least 1 year in a Level 1 Trauma facility within the past year Proficiency with point-of-care (POC) device operation Ability to cover all cardiac cases, including CABG, valve, adult congenital, dissections, complex aortic, minimally invasive procedures, and more Recent experience with ECMO, including cannulations, decannulations, circuit management, and transports Prior travel experience valued, but not mandatory
Role Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive coverage for cardiac, thoracic, liver, and transplant surgeries Manage complex ECMO cases in-house 24/7, including support for organ recovery and physical therapy sessions Participate in call rotations, responding to emergent cases both during days and after hours Support TAVRs, LLE in CL/EP, mechanical thrombectomies, HIPEC cases, and sporadic vascular support cases as needed Participate in ECMO transports from external hospitals and additional transplant-related procedures (NRP, liver, lung, heart, HiPEC cases) If you're an experienced cardiac perfusionist ready to make a substantial impact in a high-acuity setting, apply today for immediate consideration and take your career to the next level! $5,687 - $6,016/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates.
